Field trip to El Palmar de Troya’s Reservoir on the Day of Andalusia

After a festive morning breakfast of tasty tostadas, orange juice, and a cake contest, students prepared for a long day’s journey to El Palmar’s reservoir.

Whether on bike or on foot, the day was filled with laughs, songs, and sightseeing! Teachers and students walked approximately 15 - 20 kilometers, and ended the day with a visit to a small castle followed by lunch.

And in Spain couples (novios) will confess their love to each other with kisses, hugs, and love.

But in America, Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th) is a day to love to everyone. Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Grandma, Grandpa, and all family members participate in this joyous holiday.

We send valentine's day cards, roses, chocolate, candies, and even money to loved ones on Valentine's because they are closest to us.

Boys usually receive gifts such as money, watches, cologne, sporting goods, or clothes. Girls get teddy bears, rings, necklaces, cosmetic products, or romantic dinners. This day is about love.
